An Orientation Program for Parents was successfully conducted at Darshan Academy, Ludhiana, on April 18, 2026, for the parents of students from Nursery to Grade XII. The program saw an excellent response, with 900 parents in attendance.
The program aimed to familiarize parents with the school’s operations, academic structure, and overall approach to development.
The session began with a warm welcome and ceremonial lamp lighting. Parents were briefed on the school’s mission, vision, teaching methodology, and focus on activity-based, holistic learning. Information regarding meditation practices for students’ emotional well-being was also shared.
The school nurse provided valuable health tips, emphasizing hygiene, a balanced diet, and a healthy lifestyle. The concept of D.A. Agreements was explained, highlighting discipline, respect, and responsibility. Parents were also introduced to the newly added subjects for classes VI–VIII — Financial Literacy and Kaushal Bodh.
The examination pattern and evaluation policy were discussed in detail, and the interactive session allowed parents to clarify their queries. The Principal, Mrs. Rajdeep Kaur Aulakh, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of parent-teacher collaboration.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for their support and participation. Overall, the orientation program was informative and strengthened the bond between the school and parents.
