Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Darshan Academy, Ludhiana. The event was organised to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our planet Earth and to encourage students to take meaningful steps towards environmental protection.
A special assembly was held on this occasion, during which students presented a thought-provoking role-play depicting Earth across three eras. The performance beautifully illustrated the transformation of a lush, green planet into a dry and lifeless one, leaving a strong message about the consequences of human negligence.
Students also delivered speeches highlighting the significance of caring for Mother Earth. A painting competition for Classes VI–VIII, on the theme “Climate Action: Small Steps, Big Change,” was organised. These activities provided a platform for students to express their ideas creatively and spread awareness.
The celebration concluded with students taking a pledge to protect and nurture their Mother Earth. The entire event served as a powerful reminder, inspiring students to take environmental conservation seriously and become responsible global citizens.
