Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Darshan Academy, Ludhiana. The school campus resonated with the spirit of nationalism as students and teachers came together to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. A special assembly was conducted on the occasion, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the core values of our democratic nation.
Students dressed in saffron, white, and green, beautifully reflecting the colours of the national flag. They delivered short speeches and meaningful presentations that emphasized the importance of Republic Day, the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and the values of unity, equality, and patriotism. To make the celebration engaging and interactive, creative activities such as flag-making and badge-making were organized. Through these activities, students learned about national symbols, the freedom struggle, and the importance of unity in diversity, making the celebration both educational and enjoyable. A mock Parliament activity was also conducted by the students of Classes VII and VIII to provide them with insight into the functioning of Indian democracy. The activity helped students understand the role of Parliament in a simple, practical way.
The celebration successfully instilled a sense of patriotism, respect for constitutional values, and national pride among the students, making the Republic Day celebration a memorable and enriching experience.
