Yellow Colour Day

(February 19, 2019)

The pre-primary students of several Darshan Academies celebrated Yellow Colour Day. The day dedicated to the colour yellow was marked with children dressed in all shades of this happy, energizing, and optimistic colour. Yellow colored objects on flashcards were used with story narration, and yellow rhymes and jingles were sung. Yellow kites were flown, and duck families, small chicks, and bees in beehives were cleverly constructed. Students enjoyed activities using yellow coloured toys: ball-like racing cars, teddy bears, balloons, smileys, and flying discs, which made for an active, sporty learning environment. Students confidently described the yellow objects they had brought in. Focusing on the theme, the teachers planned art and collage activities. All the children enjoyed this special day and went home with smiles on their faces.
